Portraits
I enjoy doing portraits of all sorts of people and especially kids. There is no need for sittings, as I work from photos. As with my other paintings, harmonic colours are a big feature in these portraits. Playfully uncovering hidden layers and highlighting specific features.
Some people enjoy the highly colourful style, while others prefer a more naturalistic style (still colorful). The choice is yours.

Would you like to commission a portrait?
PHOTOS: Email me (portrait@alieska.com) a close-up portrait photo/s (minimum size 600kb). Make sure the face in the photo has interesting light/shadow play on it (from side and above is good), but there should be no squinting from bright sunlight. Photos that have used flash usually are pretty flat & have no interesting shadows.
COPYRIGHT: You will receive full copyright of your portraits and therefore you can use the image as an original card or in anyway you see fit. Just acknowledge the source eg my name and website, encouraging further commission paintings. Thanks!
These portraits are painted with acrylic on canvas. They are send in a PVC tube to your address. On arrival it can be framed to suit your own decor.
These portraits are popular, so order in time if you are planning it as a gift. It usually takes about 4 weeks from start to arrival on your doorstep.
